Here at McCurley Integrity Honda, we love the 2017 Honda Civic, but we are also excited about the new Honda Civic models that are set to hit the roads soon: the Honda Civic Si and the Honda Civic Type R.

For the 2018 model year, the Honda brand is set to release two different Honda Civic models that take the classically-known model to the next level and beyond in sport and performance.

The Honda Civic Si will have a performance-tuned 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that will be capable of producing 205 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque. The brand is emphasizing the speed of the Honda Civic Si, which features a Limited Slip Differential for better control around tight corners, and an Adaptive Damper system which controls the suspension.

This Honda model will also have a Sport Mode suspension for increased performance. The look and feel of the Honda Civic Si is all-around sportier with two-tone 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and a front splitter and rear wing.

While the Honda Civic Si emphasizes sport, the Honda Civic Type R emphasizes performance; take for example the 2.0-liter i-VTEC® turbocharged engine that is capable of producing 306 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque.

The automaker designed the Honda Civic Type R with the race track in mind, with features like +R Driving Mode that can retune the suspension, throttle, and steering settings, as well as a customizable digital meter display that shows g-forces and track times.

Both models are expected to hit dealership lots later this year, but for now, Richland, WA area drivers can still check out the 2017 Honda Civic at McCurley Integrity Honda.
